Emerging farmers enter the information technology world

Emerging farmers in Limpopo are entering the world of information technology to improve their agricultural business skills. Farmers from previously disadvantaged communities learn basic computer skills, specifically typing and internet. Farmers who can read and write receive this training from the Limpopo Depeartment of Agriculture (LDA) through a programme called E-Agriculture. Click here to read more... |

World AIDS Day commemorated since 1988. The first of December is marked as The World Awareness Day in all spheres of government be it national, provincial or local level. The event too place at ST’ Marco hall on the 02 of December due to the fact that there was a provincial and a national event that day, agriculture saw it best to commemorate the day on the 2nd December 2009. Small-holder farmers promise to go forward with the battle against poverty

Small-holder farmers who received support from the Limpopo Agricultural Development Programme (LADEP) promise to continue with the struggle against hunger and poverty. Farmers indicated that the LADEP, which is the partnership between the Finnish Government and the Limpopo Provincial Government, had lifted them to a higher agricultural level. Drought is a concern to farmers and government

The MEC for Agriculture in Limpopo, Mme Dipuo Letsatsi-Duba expressed concern about drought which negatively affected the Agricultural Sector. She told journalists during a media briefing hosted by her department on 3 December 2009 that the pains and hardships which drought inflicted to farmers were of serious concern to government.
