Babogadi Cooperative (Coop) situated at Avon, Blouberg is optimistic that the Coop is slowly but surely growing. The five-member Coop which started in November 2015 produces pepper dew. Having seen their keenness, the local traditional leader granted them 120 hectares (ha) to farm on. Due to limited resources, the Coop has instead started on a 3ha.

The Limpopo Province commemorated the Human Rights Day on the 21 March 2016 at Mutale Local Municipality, Vhembe District under the theme “Racism: not in my name”. It started with the march where the community handed over a memorandum against racism and discrimination to the provincial leadership. Limpopo Treasury MEC, Mr Rob Tooley received the memorandum
Nwanedi farming community in Vhembe District are set to benefit massively from the rural industrialisation in a form of Agripark in their area. The beneficiaries will be from Levubu, Malamulele, Waterpoort, Dzanani, Sinthumule, Hlanganani and Tshiombo among others within the District.
In the promotion of acquiring knowledge and information through reading, the Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (LDARD) dedicated the 14 to 18 March 2016 to Department's national Library Week.

The LDARD Receives Unqualified Report

The Auditor General has given the Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (LDARD) good health of its financial matters. The LDARD has received an unqualified audit report for the previous financial year. The Department has achieved this for three years in succession. The Auditor General, Mr Terrence Nombembe indicated in his report released to the Provincial Legislature that the financial position of the LDARD for the previous financial year was in accordance with the requirements of the PFMA.

The Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (LDARD) has done it again at PMR Africa Awards by scooping two Diamond Arrow Awards on 24 August 2012 at Bolivia Lodge in Polokwane. A random survey found the LDARD as the Provincial Department that has been most effective in achieving its goals and earned the first diamond award. The second diamond award is a reward for the LDARD’s commendable initiatives specifically the Limpopo DAFF Female Entrepreneur of the Year Project.
